About the Owners
President, Eric Bolstad, has spent his life taking risks, meeting challenges head-on and leading by example. He reminds us that anything is possible. Whether buying your first home, investing in real estate, planning your financial future or fixing your credit – Absolute Mortgage can help. After an accident his senior year at Washington State University left him unable to walk, Eric still graduated with a degree in business administration with specialties in finance and real estate. He was the first on either side of his family to attend college. Eric could count being the youngest vice president at ProWest Financial as success. But really, founding Absolute Mortgage in 1996 – a place to nurture both his business and life philosophies – is what he’s most proud of professionally. With his leadership, Absolute Mortgage has become an organization of not only talented, knowledgeable professionals, but a place where every person who comes in contact with the company, from clients to employees to partners, feels valued. Eric worked with the Paul Allen group that oversaw the building of Seahawks Stadium, Cinerama and EMP as well as facilitating home loans for thousands of clients. Not just giving lip service, Eric is committed to the community. He frequently visits patients who have suffered spinal cord injuries at University of Washington Hospital. And he started Absolute Blast Fastpitch Club in 1998 – a girl’s Junior Olympic select softball team. With Eric’s coaching, the girls have competed all over the country and he’s also helped 50 women get college softball scholarships.
