Business Spotlight: Randall J. Hodges Photography Gallery

Small businesses and the people who own and work in them are the heart of our Edmonds community. To keep our downtown thriving, it’s more critical than ever that we think local first.

In this new series, we will be highlighting independently-owned businesses, and learn more about the folks that make them run!

Meet Randall J. Hodges from Randall J. Hodges Photography Gallery

What is your favorite part of your business?
All of it, I love hiking and capturing the images, producing the images, selling the images, and teaching my out in the field lessons. I love being an Old-School, All-In-Camera shooter, and I love being in Edmonds and talking with the people.

Why did you start your business?
I wanted to get paid to hike and take photographs.

Why did you choose Edmonds for your business?
I live in Mukilteo and I love the Old Town Feeling of Downtown Edmonds.

What is unique about your business?
I am an Old-School, All-In-Camera Photographer, and I produce beautiful landscape photographs as art. Unlike almost all other photographers who use Photoshop and computers to work on their images, I do not. I do it Old-School, All-In-Camera, and my customers and students love it!

Why should people do business with you?
We are unique, and we offer great art for you at a great price because we produce almost all of it in house. We sell calendars, my book “Images of West”, note cards, puzzles, and printing services. We also offer out in the field, hands on lessons to teach people how to run their cameras like a pro.

What are you currently doing differently during this time?
Cleaning and sanitizing, and wearing our masks.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
I have hiked over 31,000 miles in search of my images all over the West. I am also one of the most published photographers in the country with over 4,900 publishes worldwide.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about your business?
We hope you will come in and see the beauty I have captured all over the West. Come on in and feast your eyes on our colorful landscape images on gallery wrapped canvas, metal prints on aluminum, Lumachrome HD acrylics, and matted and framed images.
