About the Owners
Dr. Michael Pirak, D.C. graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus in 2016. There he founded the college's first LGBT student organization Pride Alliance. And previously he was president of the Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Student Union at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Mike was born in Oklahoma but grew up in Orlando, Florida. He recently relocated to Washington to be near his husband's family, and welcomes the challenge of a new region. Dr. Mike is an avid lover of theatre, film, music and books. His favorite author is Anne Rice, but he is also an unashamed Harry Potter super-fan and J.K. Rowling loyalist. He's a sci-fi geek, an Anglophile, a home chef, and would absolutely love to try curling. Yes, curling...its amazingly addicting to watch during the Olympics. Dr. Mike started Pirak Chiropractic with one main concept, bringing his community and quality chiropractic care together. In a safe space that allows him to spend more time with his patients. Because, no one should have to face judgement and ridicule to receive the care they need, and everyone deserves the time to be heard.
