Business Spotlight: Blake Fisher Architecture & Design

Small businesses and the people who own and work in them are the heart of our Edmonds community. To keep our downtown thriving, it’s more critical than ever that we think local first.

In this new series, we will be highlighting independently-owned businesses, and learn more about the folks that make them run!

Meet Blake Fisher from Blake Fisher Architecture & Design, LLC

What is your favorite part of your business?
Working with clients to design beautiful and inspiring projects.

Why did you start you business?
To work more intimately with clients and collaborators at a smaller scale from the larger projects at my previous firm experiences.

Why did you choose Edmonds for your business?
I live in Edmonds and love the small town feel and pace of life. I worked in South Lake Union for many years and wanted a change and decided to leave the larger firm experience and break off on my own.

What makes you stand out to your competitors/similar businesses?
Client engagement and attention to design and visualization.

Why should people do business with you?
I am very personable and enjoy the “messiness” of the design process in shepherding clients from an initial vision to a beautiful completed project.

What are you currently doing differently during this time (new offerings, hours, staffing, etc.)?
Many design calls and client interactions are being done with Google Meet or Zoom where we can share screens and have effective design meetings without being in the same place. I do this for clients that are across town or even in Alaska or Utah.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
I was an all conference shortstop for Whitman College in Walla Walla. I would have been a career .300 hitter if it wasn’t for a bad Junior year season 🙂

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about your business?
Blake Fisher Architecture & Design is a minority owned business and a solo architect practitioner. If you would like a high level of design guidance and client engagement, this is the architecture firm of choice for your project!
