Fall for Live Music Downtown Edmonds This October

You didn’t think live music stopped with the summer season, did you? Good, good, because it doesn’t. The blocks will be alive with the sound of music all season long. The sounds may be a little lighter as some of us start to hibernate, but music will still be all over, and often inside heated rooms. Score!

Quick note: The Edmonds Summer Market always has live music and runs through the month of October, so if you want to catch some free acts (tips always appreciated!), stroll through, do your shopping, and catch some truly excellent tunes.
Now that all that housekeeping is done and dusted, keep reading to see what to expect, and start planning accordingly.

On Friday, October 9th, Musicology Co. will host Matney Cook, a singer-songwriter from the Skagit Valley.

On October 10th, hit up the Haystack Festival, which will take place at 15 venues around Edmonds. It’s the piéce de resistance this month and will host homegrown jazz, country, and bluegrass artists in the 1st annual event! Expect banjos, harmonicas, fiddles, and foot-tapping fun.

Bar Americano hosts an open mic night every third Thursday during ArtWalk. Stay tuned to their Instagram to see who’s coming this month!

Calypso is where Edmonds meets the Caribbean, and they have all kinds of fun throughout every week, including karaoke Fridays and After Dark Saturdays (featuring international DJs).

Dusted Valley hosts live music most Fridays. Bookmark their full schedule here.

Engel’s Pub has music multiple times a week. From Tuesday open mics to Thursday karaoke, this Edmonds landmark has something for everyone (of drinking age). Keep your thumb on their Instagram account to stay up on the latest.

And then there’s the Edmonds Center of it all—from a Taylor Swift tribute on October 3rd to Beethoven’s Seventh on October 26th, music at the Edmonds Center never misses. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Booker T. Jones is coming through town to show off his latest revue, too. If you like soul music, you’ll be absolutely entranced. For fans of 80s pop, consider ABRA Cadabra, a show that celebrates the music and magic of ABBA, which is certainly apropos for Halloween season. Yeah, the whole crew is entertained here.

Where Will We See You Listening This October?

We’ve given you lots of musical options to choose from, and we’re pretty confident that there are more acts coming to town in the fall than we’ve ever seen before. So, start planning those cozy evenings out! The world is noisy, but this? This is beautiful noise.

Tag us in your outings. We’re @edmondsdowntown on Instagram and Facebook.
