Lovin’ Summer, Edmonds Style
Remember a few weeks ago when there was a 5am hail storm? Yeah, not us, either. All we know from here on out are sunny skies and 68-degree-plus days. Right?
Right.
It’s the summer season in Edmonds! The kids are out of school, the beaches are bustling, and we have lots of fun happenings Downtown (outdoor movies, summer concerts, and festivals galore!). Whether you’re dining al fresco, grabbing a cone to go, finding Waldo, or browsing your favorite shops, Downtown Edmonds is the place to be this summer.
And, to add a cherry on your already delicious good news sundae, Lovin’ Summer is back, too!
What Is Edmonds Lovin’ Summer?
To toast to the season we’re all more than ready for, Ed! has brought together Downtown businesses for our annual Lovin’ Summer celebration. Participants have clings in their windows with our bright graphic, free stickers to give to customers (and keep for themselves, too), and table tents and posters to tell you about summer events (more on those below). Right after the 4th, you’ll also see “Discover Downtown” flags around the blocks that encourage exploration and direct you to all the shops and service providers around town!
Where To Go and What To Do Downtown
Any business with a Lovin’ Summer window cling or poster is an eager participant in the warm-weather party.
Here are some ways you can get in the summer spirit Downtown Edmonds:
- Shop for all the short-sleeved threads and accessories you forgot you needed
- Dine al fresco at one of our many restaurants and cafes
- Stock up on SPF at your favorite salons and spas
- Shake your hips at one of our summer concerts
- Settle in for an outdoor movie
Pick the next place you want to go on EdmondsDowntown.org.
What Kinds of Edmonds Lovin’ Summer Events Can You Expect?
The list of Downtown Edmonds summer is so long that we’re sharing just the events through July. Many of these events are put on, or supported by, organizations around town, including The City of Edmonds, The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, Art Walk Edmonds, and the Edmonds Historical Museum. We’re grateful for all they do Downtown!
Check back next month for the rest of the festivities and don’t forget to look for the Edmonds Lovin’ Summer posters hanging in the windows of your favorite shops around Downtown while you’re out.
