A Long List of Downtown Edmonds Autumn Eats
Charcoal‘s fall harissa chicken arrives with braised mustard greens, a rutabaga-potato puree, pickled sweet banana peppers, and chicken jus. Its North African spice blend brings heat and depth to the plate, while the pickled peppers cut through its richness.
The ChurchKey Pub’s shepherd’s pie layers grass-fed lamb and organic beef with carrots, peas, corn, and onions, then tops it with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, jack cheese, and green onions. A side salad rounds out the dish.
The Crumpet Shop’s “The Vermont” crumpet combines maple butter, cream cheese, and walnuts for a sweet and savory autumn bite (or three).
Demitris is spending the season tossing ancient grains with olive oil, lemon zest, and toasted garlic, then serving them with roasted beets, sweet potatoes, and shredded kale dressed in Greek vinaigrette. Harissa and a Greek yogurt tahini dressing finish the bowl, bringing together savory, bright, and creamy notes in one plate.
Kelnero brings back wings and the poached pear salad this fall, alongside rosemary salt baby reds best enjoyed with skewers.
The Johnny Mo’s x Virtue Cellars pizza (the local collabs of all local collabs) features a garlic ricotta and brie base topped with shredded mozzarella, prosciutto, kalamata olives, and fresh basil, with creamy stracciatella added after the bake. It’s finished with a balsamic glaze. Mmm.
La Palmera’s molcajete arrives sizzling with carne asada, shrimp, and chicken in a traditional stone bowl, proudly delivering heat and multiple proteins in one dish.
Las Brisas’ three flautas feature crispy blue corn tortillas filled with your choice of shredded beef or seasoned chicken, served over a velvety pumpkin purée and finished with avocado crema and queso fresco.
It’s the perfect time of the year for Leftcraft’s mac and cheese, which combines elbow noodles with house-made cheese sauce, topped with cornbread breadcrumbs.
And if you want your root veggies on a Detroit-style pie, MOTO’s ROOT pizza layers mushrooms, MOTO cheese blend, parmesan, and black olives with onion and tomato sauce, finished with a balsamic glaze.
Red Twig’s cran-orange scone is rolling out this season, and won’t stay long.
Ristorante Machiavelli’s Fall Fresh Sheet is now available, and their pumpkin cheesecake returns for a limited time.
Rusty Pelican’s pecan pumpkin chocolate chip bread is also available for a limited time.
Santa Fe’s menudo is built for months like these. It’s a hearty traditional Mexican soup made with beef tripe in a flavorful red broth, served with onions, cilantro, oregano, and crushed red peppers on the side.
And let’s pause to take a moment for Table for 12: Downtown Edmonds’ most immersive dining experience is prepped and ready for fall, with class options ranging from Venetian favorites to Italian bistro fare. Grab a friend and learn how to make something seasonal and new to you!
Vinbero has changed up its boards in its ever-present quest to impress us (which, when it comes to them, is not hard). Order one of their seasonal options and add on a bag (or big ass bag—official name) of Brown Butter Popcorn. Settle in for some major fun and cozy!
